Covid-19 and ATC
As the economy begins to reopen and vaccines become more widely available, many people are wanting to travel again. ATC does not have any official guidelines for either hosts or guests regarding the coronavirus. It is up to the individual hosts and guests to determine the arrangements for an overnight stay, and what they are comfortable with. Some of our hosts may require that only vaccinated guests are allowed, or that masks are mandatory. Whatever the situation, please be respectful of your host's preferences regarding their COVID protocol. Since many of our members are over 60, this factor alone puts them at higher risk for serious complications from COVID-19 according to the WHO and CDC. Because of this, many of our members have been self-isolating for many months and may not want to come in contact with other individuals. Please bear that in mind when you start traveling again. We urge you to stay safe, practice social distancing, and wear a mask or other face covering when you go anywhere, and wash your hands or use sanitizer frequently. All of this extra stuff we have to do is the new "normal" - at least for now. If we all do our part, at some point we will get back to the real normal. |
